This image, taken in 1868, is of of the Kelly family Homestead, located in Eleven Mile Creek, Greta West, Victoria. Ned Kelly built the homestead for his mother and siblings in 1877.

Significance

This photo of the Kelly family homestead, which is now in ruins, is one of very few images of the Kelly family's home that were taken, and as a rare glimpse of a site that was central both to Ned Kelly's personal story, but also the site of many skirmishes and arrests.
