Footwear - Pair of Boy's Leather Shoes, c.1920

Historical information

This pair of shoes were the first shoes of Robert Lyndhurst Piesse [the donor's father], born at ‘Tarrangower’ 39 Broadway, Camberwell 24 May 1917. The family moved to ‘Merridale’ 43 Sackville Street, Kew in 1922. The shoes were kept as a treasured item belonging to her father by his daughter. This style of shoes were produced from the late Victorian and Edwardian periods.

Physical description

Pair of toddler's brown leather shoes done up with a single loop and button. Leather soles and uppers. The sole has a small leather heel.
