This is one of two photographs of the same view in the collection. The other purports to be taken in 1925 whereas this photo has an inscription dating it to 1927.

Physical description

East Kew was the last section of Kew to be developed following subdivision of the large estates and former farmland in the first half of the twentieth century. The centre of the photograph would appear to show the trees of the Boroondara cemetery.
