Victorian government signs $1.85 billion with French manufacturer Alstom to build 100 trams in Melbourne. Trams to be known as G class and will replace some of A, B and Z models with higher floors.

Printed on off-white paper. Pads of forms were provided to conductors. The instructions to the payee notes that their fare could be paid using postage stamps. See items 1303, 1841 and 224.

Titled - "Tramway Map of Melbourne and Suburbs" - c1950, after the La Trobe or Latrobe St lines opened. Not known who produced the map. Does not give route numbers.
