The 40 mm Bofors Mk4 cartridge is used in a variety of modern armoured fighting vehicles and ships.
This cartridge has been used by the Royal Australian Navy as a ship armament since the Second World War. It is also compatible with the ground mounted Bofors L60 Anti aircraft guns which were used by the Australian Army since the Second World War.
