Covered Person, combines my ambition to create objects possessing an enigmatic and engaging physical presence with an interest in histories of repetitive labour and the compulsive patterning found in various art and design traditions.
This work draws from medieval carvings representing chain mail armour but carried references to contemporary preoccupations with personal security, safety and insularity.
