Wal Jack had an extensive range of correspondents throughout Australia and the world. The letter from Brian Castle, a senior traffic officer with the South Australian Railways at the time describes the Official opening train to Marree that replaced the narrow gauge line and other local activities and that he is preparing an article for the ARHS Bulletin. The article appeared in the Jan. 1958 issue.
