The maker was Evan Evans of Melbourne and the label said they supplied flags for the XVIth Olympiad - which was Melbourne in 1956. The flag dates from about that time.

A record that Legatees used the Union Jack for some of their comradeship events.

Makers label says "Evan Evans Flags, 680 Elizabeth St Melbourne. Official Flag Makers for XVIth Olympiad" which was the Melbourne Olympics in 1956.
