Wal Jack had an extensive range of correspondents throughout Australia and the world who often provided him with detailed drawings and notes on various tramway systems. This letter details over two pages Alwyn's notes on San Francisco trams - cable, electric and the Twin Peaks tunnel. Notes changes to the cable tram system in the mid 1950s. There may have been additional sheets.
