Barbara GARDINER (nee HEGARTY) married Robert GARDINER, at Holy Trinity Church, Port Melbourne on November 1 1958. The dress was made by Barbara's mother, Alice HEGARTY (nee MOTT). The bridesmaids dresses were made by Margaret Conn who was one of the bridesmaids.

Lagoon Confectioners commenced manufacturing in 1921 at 118 Albert Road, South Melbourne. These included Boiled Sweets, Chocolate Novelties Counted Lines and1/2d Novelties. In 1970 they moved to premises in Graham Street, Port Melbourne.

'Port Parlour Shots' was an initiative of the Bay Street Traders Association. The project's intention was to curate home movies that had been shot in Port Melbourne before 1999. A screening of these films took place at Gasworks Park theatre.
