Newspaper clipping from The Courier, Ballarat, 3/10/1968, of the defeat of the Bolte Governments proposals to scrap the trams in Ballarat and Bendigo. Labour and Country parties combined (16-14) to defeat the proposal in the Legislative Council. Bolte said the fares would have to be 30% higher as a result.
