Newspaper clipping from the Ballarat Courier Editorial of 18/12/1971 about the reconstruction of Sturt St. to remove the tram tracks and the debate about whether cars should park along the central median strip. Dec 19 was the start of the annual SEC grant for road restoration in the Ballarat area where tram track are located. Discussion over whether there should be centre of the road parking.
