Photograph of ESCo Ballarat No. 2 as a one man tram car, fitted with windscreens. Photo of tram in Sturt St. at intersection of Grenville St, with a roof advertisement for "Jago's Boot Sale now on 208 Sturt St" and metal advertisement on a metal frame above front of tramcar for "A. Jona's suits". Tram has destination of "Gardens via Convent" and a "Pay as you enter" sign on windscreen in front of driver, also "Pay as you enter sign" on bulkhead behind driver. The metal frame at either end of the tram - for purpose of keeping trolley rope from catching? - not many photos showing this. Date of photo thought to be between 1912 and 1920. Bucks Head Hotel building behind tram with the name "Wilson_". Sign in window advertising a Coliseum event - different from that in Reg. Item 1708. See Notes for listing of the various versions.
