Photo of Ballarat No. 18 photographed alongside MMTB AEC Regal Mk III bus, No. 543 (42 seats) (Reg. No. HJG 543). TMSV tour photo for the 60th anniversary of electric trams in Ballarat on 15th August 1965. No. 18 has a specially painted board over the front of the tram "60th Anniversary / Electric Trams / 1905 Ballarat 1965". Standing between the tram and Bus are Les Denmead, D. Irvine, J. Dowd and T. Young. Both vehicles showing "Special" and standing on Ballarat depot fan. Photo also appears in "MMTB News", Oct - Nov. 1965, Reg. Item 2719.7.
Dave Macartney advised 19/11/01 that other the other official guests at the event was Mr. F. K. White, Manager Ballarat SEC and that it took about 3.5 hours to travel from Melbourne to Ballarat by the bus. Also attending was W.J. K. Dunstan.
