Handwritten notes loose that were within Reg. Item 2488, opposite page 99, titled "Notes re old trams" written on a piece of paper about the origin of the original ESCo tramcars:

"Number of trams in 1905 - 20

Nos. 2, 3, 7, 9 came from Sydney with two

35HP Gen Elec motors and leads connected

The bodies of some were those of the saloon

carriages used by a cable tramway concern
