Letter from the City of Ballaarat - 13 Sept. 1971 inviting people to attend a civic reception to be held in the Reception Room at the City of Ballaarat on 20 Sept. 1971 following the closure of the tramways the previous day. Noted the 84 years of service, the takeover of the tramways by the SEC in 1934, welcome to the newly appointed Chairman of the SEC, Mr. N. R. White. Mayor Cr. J.A. Chisholm with the support of Cr. N.F. Donald, the Mayor Sebastopol Borough Council.
