Historical information

3567 - Copy negative of a black and white photograph from Ray Pearson Collection, taken by Dave Macartney in 1975c of Ballarat No. 28, in ESCo livery decorated for the coronation of King George VI in May 1937. Note high bumper and small door. Has destination of Lydiard St Nth.
Alan Bradley advised in an e-mail of 27-9-2006 that No. 28 was decorated for the coronation of King George VI in May 1937. All the trams in Ballarat had a Union Jack attached to the trolley rope.

Inscriptions & markings

Ray Pearson's captions included in the scanned images., 3567.2 - on rear in ink "SEC Ballarat No. 28 (read and cream) Coronation Tram George VI old Lydiard Stminus from Gregory St. 13-5-1937". Also has the number "5241" and in the Wal Jack copyright stamp is the negative number "T6"
