Yields information about the events - incidents that occurred towards the closure of the system - more frequent derailments with bogie trams causing delays to services.

Physical description

Black and White copy photograph of a newspaper photograph taken by The Courier - photo taken 18/8/1971, published 19/8/1971 of No. 40 derailed in lower Sturt St possibly after rounding the corner from Lydiard St Nth. Trams were involved in a special tour, the following bogie tram is being reversed. Has the Town hall in the background. See Reg Item 3765 for the tour photograph.
