Significance

Yields information about the tramcars following the cessation of tram services in Ballarat - trams being sent to new homes and how this was done.

Physical description

Black and White copy photograph of a newspaper photograph taken by The Courier - photo taken 2/09/1971, published 3/09/1971 of No. 33 leaving the depot for Hamilton (first tram to depart depot). No. 33 has been separated from its truck or wheels and loaded onto a C. F. Tonissen of Hamilton truck. A sign on the tram reads "From Ballarat to Hamilton's Museum". Has the depot in the background.
