Black and White copy photograph of a Gold Museum photograph - of the removal of the old horse tram rails in Sturt St as part of the work to install new rails for the electric trams. Shows the nature of the rails, the workmen and onlookers. Original photograph (not in book) has a handwritten note "Removing the old horse tramrails prior to the running of the electric trams in Sturt St West" Has some pins hole showing in the original print. c1905.



In the background are Hall bootmakers shop and other shops near the western end of Sturt St..
