View of the early 1930's of No. 27 inbound in Lydiard St Nth. Valentine series No. 1492, with caption "Lydiard Street showing George Hotel, Ballarat". See page 59 of The Golden City and its Tramways and for the photo itself.
Photo shows the wooden centre poles, street lighting, tram 27 in ESCo colour scheme, buildings on the west side of Lydiard St North, including the George Hotel, A.M.Palmer & Co Chemist, Wm Hiscock Dentist and other buildings. A horse drawn cart and two motor cars parked at the kerb.
