Significance

Demonstrates how the SEC used enamel signs to convey instructions to passengers or to confirm the advice of the conductor and how enamel signs were made.

Physical description

Enamel sign, black capital letters and lines on white background, titled "Passengers Must Not Obstruct the Entrances". Sign has a black enamel backing, with marks from the enamelling process. Four screw holes in each corner to secure the sign.
