Significance

Yields information about industrial issues affecting one man trams, the unions and the other people to which Mr Pringle corresponded.

Physical description

Letter, typed, one quarto sheet and three foolscap sheets, dated 8/5/1922 from Mr Pringle to Fred Thonemann (Barrister?), with copies to G G Jobbings, W. Strangward, H Dix and A Murdoch - Melbourne tramway operators.

Letter is a report on a Arbitration hearing and appearances before the Registrar in Ballarat concerning the operation of two man trams when it had been operated previously by one man operations. Detailed report on the event and reporting in the newspapers.
