Car was based on a Lloyd motor corporation vehicle, first manufactured in Frankston, Victoria, between 1949 and 1953

Significance

Built on request of the then Prime minister, Ben Chifley, that Holden build an inexpensive "workingman's car". The Lloyd was Laurence Hartnetts idea of this, and commenced to develop the car The car is powered by a 2 cylinder, 4 stroke horizontally opposed engine of 600 cc capacity.
