Manufactured by the Adelaide tramcar body builder, Duncan and Fraser to indicate or advise passengers who built the tram. Were generally located above a doorway of the tramcars.

Demonstrates the method of recording who built the tramcar body.

Physical description

Oval shaped engraved Builders plate with the words "DUNCAN & FRASER BUILDERS ADELAIDE" . Has two 2mm diameter holes on either end of the plate.
