Historical information

Model of typical UK double deck, four-wheel tram made by Matchbox models. Notes that over 3000 similar trams were provided to nearly 50 operators by Dick Kerr, later the United Electric Car Company of Preston. Painted in the colours and livery of London Transport.

Significance

Demonstrates of a model of a Preston UK built double decker tram in London Transport colours. This type of tram was a very popular body in the UK.
