Plaque, ID Plate - Centurion, C. 1948

Physical description

A brown timber shield with the original plate from a Centurion 3 169016 which is placed between two descriptive plates. The top plate (measuring 10.4 h x 15.3 L ) explains the story. The bottom plate reads donated by John (Rusty) Dyson, Centurion driver, Vietnam 1968. These plates were removed by tank crews in the late 70's for safe keeping. It is believed only three of one hundred and forty two have been located. The Centurion 169016 is now owned and on display at the National Vietnam Veterans Museum, Phillip Island.
