With a perforated steel 'jacket' over the front end of the barrel and a slightly forward curved magazine mounted on top of the weapon, off-set sights and a pistol grip and trigger halfway down the length is uniquely Australian and has similarities to its predecessor, the Owen Gun.

This flag was designed and handmade by the South Vietnam Resistance Army. It was donated to the RAAF Vietnam Veterans Association by former soldier, Le Van Luc, who was a soldier in the South Vietnamese Army until 1975, and then a member of the resistance movement.
