Historical information
Sapper James W Dowson was a National serviceman who served with the Royal Australian Engineers, 1st Field Squadron, in Vietnam 1967-68. Upon his return, he brought each of his nieces and nephews a piece of Vietnamese clothing. This dress was given to his niece, Diane, who donated it to our museum in 2017.
