At the time of writing of this report, no dependents of official U.S. Government Employees or dependents of U.S. Military Personnel are permitted to reside in Vietnam. An exception has been made to personnel married to Vietnamese Nationals in that they may remain at post with sponsor until rotation to the United States or their next overseas duty assignment. The dependents who were in Vietnam were evacuated in February 1965 and at present there are no definite plans to permit their return.
