The first Dahlia and Arts Festival was officially opened on 25th March 1972 by Sir Rohan Delacombe.
A flyer advertising the Eaglehawk Dahlia and arts festival on the 23rd March - 4th April 1972. A small booklet (12 pages) describing the activities taken place, the booklet has a blue cover with a tram on it titled "Destination!! Eaglehawk Dahlia and Arts Festival March 25th to April 4th, 1972".
