This book was published by the Municipal Association of Victoria to commemorate the inauguration of the Commonwealth of Australia in 1901. The addresses were made on the occasion of the Duke & Duchess of Cornwall & York's visit to Melbourne for the opening of Federal Parliament at the Royal Exhibition Buildings in Carlton Gardens on 9 May 1901.
