Sprit duplicated onto pink paper handwritten, table or timetable for a charter tram tour. Issued by the MMTB Camberwell Folklore Club special tour. Crews nominated as Driver Stanton, Conductor Hocking. Special tram used trams 1000 and 700 from Camberwell depot on 22-7-1979.
Timetable on two sheets of pink paper, printed on one side only.

Melbourne Tramway and Omnibus Co. Ltd Rules and Regulations by which all operational staff were to abide too. Provides separate sections of rules for Gripmen and Conductors, with Special rules for both roles, collection of fares and use of Bell Punch, transfer and check tickets, Collectors (Conductors acting as collectors on the dummy or grip car), signalmen and shunters. Printed by Sands & McDougall. Date of issue has been damaged by silverfish - Mr H A Wilcox was appointed Secretary in 1909, becoming General Manager in the Tramway Board which succeeded the private company in 1916. Rule 76, page 21 allows for the wearing of the Australian Tramway Employees Association union badge. The Union was recognised by the Company in 1911?

Cable tramway report form for providing extensive details of a conductor's trip, driver, badge and punch numbers, times, tickets sold, relieved by and ticket sales, tokens, packets of tickets and who received the cash and form. Dated 10/23 indicating it is a MMTB form. Three copies held, one of which has been partly filled in to provide an example.

Document - letters and comments and suggestions for a tender specification for the Austral Otis grinding machine from Chief Engineer MMTB to A G Wray Engineer for Tramways, NSW Govt Tramways. The grinder was used to remove corrugations from the rail head. Includes comments about the performance of a similar machine in Melbourne. Dated July 1929.

Document or memo from the Director of Passenger Services Division to staff regarding the announcement by the Minister for Public Transport Alan Brown about the introduction of bus services to replace tram services on some routes after 8 pm. This caused considerable concern and industrial issues. Dated 6/1/1993. See also items 3049, 3052 (closure of route 82), and 5498.

Contains data, letter from the Chief Superintendent Transit Police, offences recorded, and outcomes. Originated from a 1991 memo from Manager Kew Depot.

Use to identify a tramway employee - Richmond car house or depot. Would have allowed free travel when in uniform to and from work. Used possibly from mid 1910's when the Tramway Board was formed until it was replaced by the MMTB in 1921 or when a different identification system was implemented. Most likely made by Stokes and Sons - possible imprint covered by the leather part.
Demonstrates the method of identifying cable tram employees.
Round pressed brass badge with the words "Conductor" pressed into the centre of the badge around the top portion of the badge, the letters "3R. Has a nickel-plated finish with the Tramways Board logo on the lower part of the badge. On the rear of the badge, two metal lugs have been soldered onto the badge and a two-piece leather strap with a buttonhole cut into it to enable it to be worn on a uniform. See item 6686 for a gripman badge.
