Engraved brass address plate, with the words "Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board 616 Lt. Collins St" in capital letters with the word "Melbourne" curved. Has four screw holes in the corner.
Could have been used on a correspondence bag, eg for the Post Office or another Authority.
Note the MMTB Head Office as at this address post 1938.
