Physical description

Black and white photograph of a cable tram set in Lonsdale Street bound for West Melbourne crossing William Street with the Supreme Court in the background. The electric tram line has been installed in William Street with its center backet arm poles. Although Telephone cables had been placed underground in most city streets by 1910, it appears William Street was not done until much later.
Photo dates from late 1925 to c1931.
