Physical description

Black and white negative, by Wal Jack, of W2 365 in Whitehorse Road, Deepdene crossing the outer circle railway. The tram has the destination of "Balwyn". Note the sign on the level crossing requiring all trains to stop before proceeding. This is what was classified as an uncontrolled level crossing. Also note the "Cars Stop Here" sign requiring a compulsory stop for all trams. In the background is a Penfolds Wine billboard and in the distance the Barnsbury Road Bridge.
