by Wal Jack, of W2 491, in Church St. in Hawthorn from Burwood Road. The tram has just come over the bridge and is bound for "KEW" on the side destination. "KEW" in the old days was at the intersection of Harp Road and High Street. The park behind the tram is Creswick Street Reserve. The white paint on the front bumper bar is just visible. Note the wartime wastepaper collection basket by the pole and the track in front of it.
