Caskets were presented to Robert Baden-Powell from groups around the world in recognition of his services to the Empire following his successful holding of the besieged town of Mafeking during the South African Boer War. The origin of this Casket is unknown.

Physical description

Photograph of a Baden Powell Casket. The photograph is mounted on mounting board with two cream colpured borders. The casket has the Australian Coat of Arms on the top and is supported by four turtles.
