Uncompleted application form to purchase First Victory Loan Bonds and mark the application 'credit City of St Kilda quota'. The bonds, which would mature with interest after the war, were administered by the Commonwealth War Loans Organisation. Twelve major Government war loans (called Liberty, Austerity, Special or Victory loans) were offered during World War II. The First Victory Loan was offered on 28th March - 9th May 1944, with a target of 150 million pounds.

A greeting card for Christmas and New Year. The photograph, 'Murray Views No. 26. Memorial, St Kilda. Vic', appears to have been taken in the mid 20th century. Murray Views was established in 1929 by photographer Fred Murray in Gympie, Queensland, initially to supply postcards of local views. The company soon expanded its reach through Queensland and interstate.
Cream coloured card, folded into three sections, and printed in brown. A black and white photograph of St Kilda War Memorial is affixed to the first section. The message 'May the Joys of the CHRISTMAS SEASON remain with you throughout the NEW YEAR', and a drawn image of Santa Claus waving from a chimney, are printed on the third section.

The 56th Annual report and Statement of Accounts for 1949-50 of the Melbourne Swimming Club (established 1893). The President was Sir Harold Luxton. The Club was affiliated with the Victorian Amateur Swimming Association and the Victorian Amateur Water Polo Association.

Flyer for a Great Carnival held at St Kilda Town Hall during World War I to aid the State War Council's Appeal. The dates are not given in full but they correlate with dates in 1918.

Promotion and program for a free lecture and concert at St Kilda Town Hall on 19 June 1942. The lecture topic was 'The Empire's Air Forces at War', by British War Correspondent William Courtney, and the entertainment included musical performances. Although free, silver coin donations for the St Kilda Patriotic Society were sought.

The flyer is a call by the St Kilda Patriotic Society to St Kilda residents to donate at least a shilling a month to provide soldiers fighting overseas with comforts from home to help improve their well being, health and morale. Donors were invited to complete and submit a coupon at the bottom of the page, following which voluntary collectors would come to their home to collect the money each month.

The poster sets out information and instructions for households in the event of an air raid during World War II. It was issued in 1940 by the Air Raid Precautions Organisation, which was established by the St Kilda City Council under the auspices of the State Emergency Council (Victoria) for Civil Defence.

Advertisement for a Smoke Social presented by the City of St Kilda to welcome home returned servicemen from St Kilda who served in the Second World War. The event was held in the St Kilda Town Hall on 24 April 1946.

Government notice of entitlement to compensation for war damage, under the National Security (War Damage to Property) Regulations, from 1 January 1942, and an instruction not to seek compensation until instructed. The War Damage Commission was established under Commonwealth national security legislation to pay compensation for direct war damage. It collected money from local councils through a levy based on property values. Payments were not generally to be made until after the war ended.

Ticket to a cabaret at Earl's Court in aid of the St Kilda Red Cross Emergency Service on 26 October 1940. Earl's Court Theatre opened in the early 1930's at 17 The Esplanade, St Kilda. The building formerly housed the Lyric Theatre (from 1913-1922), which presented live entertainment and movies. After initially operating as a theatre, Earl’s Court became a ballroom and nightclub. Earl's Court Nightclub closed in the late-1980’s and a retirement home named Earl’s Court now stands on the site.

An agreement between Ellison, Hewison & Whitehead, acting for the estate of Margaret S Cummins, and the St Kilda General Cemetery to maintain her grave in perpetuity, at a cost of 45 pounds. The agreement is dated 8 April 1948 and applies to plot number 447c, compartment C in the Presbyterian section of the cemetery.
