Map printed by the Victorian Railways in 1955 gives places of interest, some facts about Melbourne, and amusements, with the map showing rail, tram, and railway bus routes, suburbs, golf links, sporting grounds, and municipalities. The Bourke St tram route to East Preston is shown but not the Nicholson St East Brunswick line which opened during mid 1956. Provides a detailed list of suburbs, miles from the GPO, and how reached from where. Notes it was published in Jan. 1956 by the VR Public Relations and Betterment Board.

List prepared by Bob Lilburn of tramcars that were assigned to Hawthorn and Coburg tram depots at the time of closure as electric running sheds. Would have been compiled from tramcar allocation sheets. Also lists the depot locations for W3 and W4 class trams. Hawthorn depot closed on 13/2/1965 and Coburg on 11/10/1952

Melbourne Tramway and Omnibus Co. Ltd Rules and Regulations by which all operational staff were to abide by. Provides separate sections of rules for Gripmen and Conductors, with Special rules for both roles, collection of fares and use of Bell Punch, transfer and check tickets, Collectors (Conductors acting as collectors on the dummy or grip car), signalmen and shunters. Printed by Sands & McDougall. Date of issue has been damaged by silverfish - Mr H A Wilcox was appointed Secretary in 1909, becoming General Manager in the Tramway Board which succeeded the private company in 1916. Rule 76, page 21 allows for the wearing of the Australian Tramway Employees Association union badge. The Union was recognised by the Company in August 1912 and the wearing of Union badges on watch chains was permitted. A possible date for the document is 1913.

Document - letters and comments and suggestions for a tender specification for the Austral Otis grinding machine from Chief Engineer MMTB to A G Wray Engineer for Tramways, NSW Govt Tramways. The grinder was used to remove corrugations from the rail head. Includes comments about the performance of a similar machine in Melbourne. Dated July 1929.

Document or memo from the Director of Passenger Services Division to staff regarding the announcement by the Minister for Public Transport Alan Brown about the introduction of bus services to replace tram services on some routes after 8 pm. This caused considerable concern and industrial issues. Dated 6/1/1993. See also items 3049, 3052 (closure of route 82), and 5498.
