Advertisement for a dance, organised by the Mayor of St Kilda in aid of hospitals and charities, at the Maison de Luxe, Elwood on 12 April 1930. The Maison de Luxe Dance Palais was on the north corner of Glenhuntly Road and Broadway in Elwood and operated as a venue for dances and private parties from the late 1920s until the mid 1950s (except when occupied by the Army in 1942-1945).
