Historical information
The Moorebank Military Area in NSW housed the School of Military Engineering. During the war in Vietnam it was expanded to cater for the increased number of soldiers being allocated to the Royal Australian Engineers. A mock Vietnamese village was built to familiarise troops with guerilla warfare tactics and military raids, and a nuclear, biological and chemical warfare wing was constructed.
