Physical description
Black and white photograph of Barkes Store. Store was built in 1893, opposite the Post Office on Esplanade. Photo shows a large weatherboard building, hipped iron roof, imitation gables and timber frieze decorate the veranda roof. Building has many signs advertising various goods, products and services. A four-horse drawn wagon and crowd of people at front of the store, on ground-level wooden veranda floor. Lakes Entrance Victoria
