This building was the original home of the family of George Carpenter, son of John Carpenter, first contractor for construction of the man-made entrance to the lake system, the house was relocated to Hunters Lane, December 2002.
Physical description
Colour photograph of Skippers Restaurant, Esplanade. The photograph shows a weatherboard building, corrugated iron roof, gabled extension at left end, hipped extension at right. Historical evidence shows that the building consists of additions to original smaller residence. Lakes Entrance Victoria
