The date on the photo 1.11.1904, appears to identify this as the 'Hero' aground October 1904 when her cables parted while sheltering from a gale near Cape Woolamai, Victoria. Reference 'Wrecks along the Gippsland Coast', 8th Edition p84, Jack Loney.
