Historical information
James Fitzpatrick was the publican of the Prince Patrick Hotel. He emigrated from Ireland in 1854 and settled at Eaglehawk Flat and commenced puddling for gold. He later built the hotel in Simpson's Rd. He married Katherine Kenevan and they had eleven children. Four children died in infancy.
