Bendigo Advertiser ''The way we were'' from Monday, November 29, 2004. Charitable day in history: Miss Thelma Wright was a Miss Australia entrant. This was an invitation to an open day at the ordnance factory, Bendigo. The event was held to raise funds for Miss Wright. While the date of the open day was November 6, the year is not known.
