Moran and Cato was a national Grocery chain. It was established in Melbourne in 1882 by Frederick John Cato and his cousin Thomas Edwin Moran. There were two branches in Bendigo at Charing Cross and Hargreaves Street. In 1969 the company was taken over by Permewan Wright Ltd.
