R Bell was a company based in London. They decided to open a factory in Richmond, Melbourne in 1894/5 to produce wax tipped vestas (matches).
10 cylindrical matchboxes. On the lid the name R.Bell & Co. Melbourne with a red ornate cross in the middle. 6 of the boxes contains matches, 4 are empty. On the cylinders lines in different colours. from George Harris estate
