Following a series of unsuccessful peaceful demonstrations and civil disobedience against the Miners License and its methods of enforcements, miners rose up at the Eureka Stockade in Ballarat on the 3/12/1854.
Diggers & mining. The gold era. - - - and in 1854 the famous Eureka rebellion occurred. Slide depicts a view of the rebellion. Markings 28 994.031 GOL:5. Used as a teaching aid.
